Farmington Orange Tigers Pee Wee Team

We are a team that plays for the Rochester Youth Football / Cheerleading League (RYFL) and are proudly sponsored by the Farmington Boys and Girls 500 Club. We joined the Rochester Youth Football League in 2011. Since we do not have a middle school team in Farmington yet, our players can go on to play or cheer for the Little Red Raiders when they hit 7th or 8th grade, or if they do not make weight requirements set forth by the RYFL. They can then play for Farmington High School. Our practices are in Farmington, but our games are in Rochester at Roger Allen Park on Chestnut Hill Rd. .

There are 8 teams in the league comprised of children from Rochester, Farmington, and the surrounding communities. Each team plays 8 regular season games with the top 4 teams advancing to a play-off for the championship game. While it is nice to win, our PRIMARY GOAL is to teach the basic fundamentals of football so the children can advance to the next level of the game with a good foundation to build on.

Each team has an A & B team. The A team consists of the older, heavier, and more experienced players, generally 12, 11, and occasionally 10 year olds. The B team is comprised of newer, smaller players, generally 10, 9, 8, and 7 years old. Each plays a separate game. With the exception of disciplinary actions, every child plays every game. There are NO bench warmers. Our team has 7 coaches who will be certified by Coach Smart, as are all coaches in the league. .

Games will usually be on Sundays (either from 10-12, 12-2, or 2-4 pm). We will be playing at least one game “under the lights” on either a Wednesday night or Thursday night.
